The Educator:
A poet by profession his words have touched tens of thousands since 1999. Sine then he has used them in serving those serving time in youth prisons from Virginia to Texas to Massachussetts. In churches, youth revivals, rallies and various church sponsored youth programs. Heading youth-mentorship initiatives, and facilitating youth-centered HIV education. Teaching in an array of in-school and after-school educational and recreational programs from elementary school to Job Corps. Creative writing workshops, Hip-Hop workshops, Poetry Workshops and his own brand of “Aspirational” workshops reminding misinformed young leaders to dream again. A fixture in the school systems of Baltimore, Maryland, Washington DC, Alexandria Virginia and his home town of Brooklyn New York. A highly demanded speaker for ceremonies and graduations, delivering keynote addresses or riveting poems. Komplex (or K.o.M) has been educating, inspiring, challenging, supporting and serving his community’s youth consistently for over ten years. An engaging presenter he fuses the language of his younger generation with the wisdom of his elders connecting bright ideas to open minds in an electric fashion planting and watering constructive seeds. Using his talent, research, creativity and passion for young people he continues informing, empowering and working to create the future he would like to see for all our children.
